Presidents of Montenegro

Filip Vujanović (2003-2018): Vujanović was a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS). He was elected president in 2003 and re-elected in 2008 and 2013. He was the first president of Montenegro to be elected to a second term.

Milo Đukanović (1991-1998, 2002-2003, 2018-2023): Đukanović was a member of the DPS. He was elected president in 1991 and re-elected in 1997. He resigned in 1998 to become prime minister. He was re-elected president in 2002 and again in 2018. He is the longest-serving president of Montenegro.

Đukanović was succeeded by Jakov Milatović in May 2023. Milatović is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro (SDP). He was elected president in 2023.
